The day started off very windy here at Norwood Park. The ladies on reception are so friendly, in fact to be honest all the staff throughout the day are super friendly.
I always start the morning off by walking around the venue, getting the location wide shots, any details that you'd remember yourself from walking around during all of your visits, and then when you'd likely go for a walk together the morning after your wedding.
This venue in particular gets a massive kudos from me as they have on site Highland Coo's. They're too cute!
I then head over to the bridal suite where everyone's in full energy. The suite here has a lot of natural lighting and a dedicated hook to hang your dress. I then met their photographer for the day Ben from HBA. (Looks like a viking but a lovely soul full of ideas for stylish shots)
Here is where some interviews about the couples story happen, Louise (Bride) shares how she's feeling and we get a general vibe for the morning.
Then it was off to see Shaun (groom) as he nervously waited upstairs, before entertaining the guests as they arrive.
There's a grand living room for everyone to socialise before heading over to the other building where the ceremony, speeches & reception all happen. This initial building being the sort of social side (for day time at least)
The ceremony then begins, with an introduction to Louise's entrance from their friend who happens to be the voiceover for X Factor.
After the ceremony everyone heads back to the first building for drinks and chat. Here we get some more interviews from the guests (who don't hide from the camera) and from their parents.
Some may question why we do this, but in years to come, when you want some clips of your loves ones talking, you will absolutely appreciate us getting them to leave you a message.
After this we head back to the ceremony room which as if by magic has been transformed to the wedding breakfast space. This is quite a fully packed wedding so space is tight (often a challenge when filming) but we make it work.
Myself, Ben (photographer) and the DJ all get to have a full course dinner (absolutely divine) and as luck would have it two guests hadn't shown up, so we are treated to a pudding each too! (usually we get a supplier meal, and to be honest i'm satisfied with just a warm plate of chips. But happy days!
Finally to wrap up the evening we have the party! (my favourite part)
Louise & Shaun have practise their own choreographed first dance together.
Usually i can find this a bit cringe, unless they're on par with strictly come dancing, but it shows their love and how they bring out each other's inner child. So it gets a pass from me!
Finally before things descend into full on alcohol fuelled mayhem, they have one more treat for their guests. A fireworks display (a personal favourite for the evening, because who doesn't like fireworks. It's perfect to snuggle close together)
Though seen as it's February, Louise rightfully needed a thick fluffy coat. Before we head back in Ben (photographer) takes them for some stylish couple shots.
After some more dancing It's then time for me to pack up and head home. (After de-icing the car)
